Accounting Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Prepare and record journal entries, encompassing accruals, prepaids, and fixed assets.

• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and analyze any discrepancies.

• Ensure accurate accounting documentation for trade spend, deductions, rebates, and other essential accounts.

• Aid in the creation of supporting schedules and documentation for financial reporting purposes.

• Facilitate inventory reconciliations with manufacturing and third-party logistics partners.

• Collaborate with Operations to reconcile inventory receipts and vendor invoices.

• Assist in maintaining precise inventory costing and valuation records.

• Contribute to ERP implementation and system enhancement projects, including migration tasks.

• Ensure accurate financial data and accounting records are maintained within company systems.

• Help document accounting processes, controls, and procedures.

• Process vendor invoices, expense reports, and payment runs promptly.

• Assist with customer billing, collections, and cash application functions.

• Reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable subledgers with the general ledger.

• Support audit preparation, tax schedules, and external reporting obligations.

• Engage in process improvement initiatives and finance-related projects.

• Provide support for ad hoc analyses and special projects as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• 1–3 years of accounting experience; internships are also considered.

• Basic understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Familiarity with NetSuite or similar ERP systems is preferred.

• Exceptional accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time-management abilities.

• Capability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

• Experience in CPG, food and beverage, manufacturing, or product-based industries is a plus.

• Self-driven, adaptable, and enthusiastic about learning in a high-growth setting.
