Accounting Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Lead and oversee the accounting team to guarantee precise and timely financial operations.

• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

• Ensure adherence to Colombian accounting standards, IFRS, and corporate accounting policies.

• Coordinate both internal and external audits, preparing necessary documentation and follow-ups.

• Present financial results, insights, and reports in English to senior management globally.

• Supervise month-end and year-end closing processes.

• Enhance internal controls and streamline accounting procedures and workflows.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams both locally and internationally.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Public Accounting with an active professional license.

• 5-7+ years of experience in senior accounting positions or accounting leadership roles.

• Experience with NetSuite (mandatory): comprehensive understanding of NetSuite accounting modules, reporting, and system workflows.

• Advanced English (B2+) with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and Colombian accounting regulations.

• Proven track record in managing audits.

• Exceptional analytical abilities and attention to detail.

• Advanced skills in Excel and financial tools.

• Demonstrated capability to lead and develop teams.
