Accounting Services Associate IV, Japanese Speaker

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malaysia.

📋 Description

• Execute the record to report function, ensuring journal entries are accurately recorded in the company's accounting ledger.

• Report directly to a supervisor or client manager to facilitate smooth month-end, quarter-end, and year-end accounting closure activities.

• Collaborate with Juniors on month-end accounting closure activities for the assigned company or multiple entities as directed by the supervisor.

• Conduct monthly accounting period closure activities for the designated company or entities as assigned by the supervisor.

• Coordinate and address feedback and necessary inquiries related to the client served.

• Provide guidance and support to Junior team members as needed.

• Maintain accounting controls by updating and preparing recommended policies and procedures in DTP for the clients served.

• Prepare and post various general accounting journal entries, including those related to payroll.

• Make adjustments to entries as necessary to correct errors or to reconcile the company’s accounts.

• Manage all banking journal entries, ensuring daily bank statements are updated frequently.

• Prepare reconciliations for various general ledger accounts.

• Verify and follow up on necessary documentation, creating fixed assets in the client system as per approvals.

⛳️ Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting with at least 3 years of relevant experience in RTR or full set of accounts.

• Minimum of one year of experience with SAP.

• Preferably has exposure to MNC shared services, particularly in Asia Pacific countries.

• Proficiency in Japanese is essential for serving clients in Japan.

• Strong communication skills in both written and spoken Japanese and English.

• Proficient in basic and intermediate Excel (including Pivot tables and formula links) and Word.

• Demonstrates responsibility, tact, self-motivation, and the ability to coach junior staff.

• Capable of working under pressure during month-end closures and providing ad-hoc support as needed.
