This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, spend management systems, daily treasury operations, month-end closing support, and ensure the integrity of general ledger data.
• Manage the complete accounts payable process, encompassing vendor invoices, coding, approvals, payment runs, and vendor terms.
• Oversee the entire accounts receivable process, including customer invoicing, collections, follow-up on overdue accounts, and cash receipts.
• Maintain aging schedules for AP/AR, identify risks, resolve discrepancies, and monitor KPIs such as DPO, DSO, and aging trends.
• Handle vendor onboarding, collection of W-9/W-8 forms, and upkeep of vendor records.
• Act as the primary point of contact for AP/AR inquiries.
• Track daily cash positions and carry out wire transfers, ACH payments, and other cash transactions.
• Manage relationships with banks and oversee online banking access, permissions, and alerts.
• Assist with short-term cash flow forecasting and alert the Controller regarding liquidity requirements.
• Reconcile treasury, bank, and credit card accounts, addressing any discrepancies.
• Oversee accounting, AP/AR, treasury, and banking platforms; manage configurations, access, integrations, updates, audits, and troubleshooting.
• Assess and facilitate the implementation of financial systems and automation; develop documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Prepare journal entries, support the monthly closing checklist, and maintain schedules that support the balance sheet.
• Aid in the preparation of monthly financial reports, management summaries, budget-to-actual comparisons, variance analysis, and ad hoc financial requests.
• Assist with payroll processing as well as employee expense reports, reimbursements, and adherence to expense policies.
• 1–3 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related finance role, with significant hands-on experience in AP/AR.
• Familiarity with treasury or cash management responsibilities; direct treasury experience is a valuable asset, though not mandatory.
• Experience in administering or effectively using financial systems such as an ERP, AP/AR platform, or banking portal.
• Proficient in Excel and spreadsheets, with the ability to navigate multiple financial systems comfortably.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to completing recurring, deadline-driven, control-sensitive tasks.
• Ability to communicate clearly with vendors, customers, banks, and internal teams.
• A systematic approach focused on optimizing financial operations.
• Desire to expand beyond AP/AR into broader accounting, treasury, and finance functions.
• No certification is required.
• A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred but not essential.
• Experience working in a startup or rapidly growing company is advantageous.
• Prior exposure to treasury management systems or online banking platforms is a plus.
• Previous experience managing or administering a financial system beyond AP/AR is beneficial.
• Familiarity with payroll systems and expense management tools is an added advantage.
