Accounting Operations Assistant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines, +4 more countries.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of financial data by processing high-volume transactions across 50 currencies and ensuring precise financial record-keeping.

• Reconcile and monitor: Conduct reconciliations and enforce financial controls under the direction of the Financial Controller.

• Manage extensive data: Handle large datasets in Excel by building pivot tables, generating insightful reports, and pinpointing trends or irregularities.

• Bookkeeping and accounting: Record transactions and maintain ledgers in QuickBooks, guaranteeing accurate and timely financial closures.

• Simplify complexities: Assist in converting raw data into clear and concise financial reports, including balance sheets, P&L statements, cash flow, and more.

• Operational support: Aid in the seamless execution of daily finance operations such as payment tracking, vendor/client ledger updates, and reconciliations.

• Financial analysis assistance: Aid in variance analysis, trend identification, and preparation of reports for internal stakeholders.

• Enhance controls: Engage in strengthening internal processes while identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Accounting proficiency: Solid understanding of balance sheets, P&L statements, and cash flow statements, acquired through experience in accounting, financial control, or audit roles.

• Excel expertise: Advanced skills in Excel, including comfort with large datasets, VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and sumifs, as well as building analytical models.

• QuickBooks familiarity: Experience with QuickBooks Online for recording and reconciling financial transactions.

• Knowledge of standards: Familiarity with US GAAP or IFRS accounting frameworks.

• Operational approach: Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment with changing processes.

• Analytical skills: Capability to deconstruct complex data and convert it into valuable financial insights.
