Accounting Operations – 6 Month Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Manage the entire monthly partner billing cycle by collecting partner-specific data, generating reports through existing tools, and facilitating internal review and approval until completion.

• Take charge of partner-facing communications, including reviewing and dispatching billing emails, as well as addressing partner inquiries directly.

• Assess and investigate data discrepancies, resolving issues independently when possible and escalating pipeline challenges with thorough documentation.

• Create, issue, and monitor partner invoices in NetSuite, align purchase orders with invoices, and confirm that remittances are received and properly applied.

• Finalize vendor and customer setups for new partner onboarding by gathering necessary documentation, tax forms, and banking information.

• Assist with month-end closing through account reconciliations and preparation of journal entries.

• Keep process documentation up to date and support external audit requests as required.

• Engage in ad hoc accounting and finance operations projects as they arise.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in billing, accounts receivable, or finance operations, demonstrating a successful history of independently managing recurring cycles.

• Proficient hands-on experience with NetSuite AR and billing processes.

• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to navigate a deadline-driven monthly cycle without daily supervision.

• Strong and professional written communication skills, as you will serve as a direct point of contact for external partners.

• A systematic approach to reconciliation, comfortable with tracking down discrepancies across various data sources.

• Familiarity with SQL or BigQuery for investigating data inquiries prior to escalation (preferred).

• Background in a fast-paced technology, marketplace, or travel company (preferred).

• Understanding of revenue share, commission, or variable partner billing models (preferred).
