This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Oversee the complete monthly billing cycle for partners — gather partner-specific data, produce reports utilizing existing tools, and manage internal review and approvals through to finalization.
• Facilitate communications with partners, including reviewing and dispatching billing emails and addressing partner inquiries.
• Analyze and investigate data inconsistencies, resolve issues within your authority, and escalate pipeline challenges with comprehensive documentation.
• Generate, distribute, and follow up on partner invoices in NetSuite, align purchase orders with invoices, and verify the receipt and application of discounts.
• Complete vendor and customer onboarding processes for new partners, including gathering necessary documents, tax forms, and banking information.
• Assist with month-end closing activities through account reconciliations and the preparation of journal entries.
• Maintain process documentation and provide support for external audit requests as required.
• Manage ad hoc accounting and finance operations projects as necessary.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or finance operations, demonstrating a successful history of independently handling recurring cycles.
• Practical experience with NetSuite AR and billing systems.
• Excellent organizational capabilities, with the ability to manage a monthly cycle under tight deadlines without the need for daily oversight.
• Strong written communication skills — you will serve as a direct contact for external partners.
• A methodical approach to reconciliation, with comfort in identifying and resolving discrepancies across various data sources.
• Familiarity with SQL or BigQuery to independently investigate data issues prior to escalation (preferred).
• Background in a tech company, marketplace, or rapidly growing travel business (preferred).
• Understanding of partner billing structures based on revenue sharing, commissions, or other variable models (preferred).
