Accounting Manager – Partnering with Churches

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Supervise employees in executing complete bookkeeping responsibilities, such as bank reconciliation, accounts payable (A/P), payroll, and other accounting duties.

• Manage the tracking system for weekly and monthly tasks for designated clients to ensure timely execution.

• Provide ongoing feedback and training to team members to enhance performance and efficiency in accounting activities.

• Ensure compliance with company standards and the implementation of best practices in accounting procedures.

• Review and authorize financial reports, guaranteeing accuracy and timely dissemination.

• Identify and rectify any discrepancies in financial information, offering solutions when necessary.

• Deliver outstanding customer service by promptly addressing client needs and inquiries in a professional manner.

• Regularly analyze and clarify financial reports for clients, ensuring their understanding of key metrics and trends.

• Counsel clients on opportunities for improvement within their financial practices and internal controls, suggesting best practices to boost efficiency.

• Provide insights on optimizing financial workflows and enhancing accuracy in reporting and documentation.

• Assist clients in pinpointing and rectifying discrepancies, delivering practical solutions to sustain financial well-being.

• Cultivate long-lasting relationships with clients through consistent follow-up and ongoing support, ensuring satisfaction with services rendered.

• Educate clients on financial best practices, regulatory updates, and industry trends to keep them informed and compliant.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles.

• Proficiency in cloud-based technologies.

• Comfortable working with churches.

• Willingness to work additional hours as required.

• Ability to manage multiple clients with differing deadlines.
