Accounting Manager – Marketing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Oversee the daily operations related to general ledger accounting functions.

• Collaborate and support Accounts Receivable, Billing, Accounts Payable, and Finance with various inquiries.

• Evaluate monthly close entries prepared by team members, including Prepaid, Fixed Assets, accruals, deferred rent, AMEX entries, and others.

• Supervise accounting personnel to ensure timely completion of closing and reporting deadlines.

• Assess balance sheet account reconciliations and prepare general ledger account analyses by reviewing transactions to verify accuracy within the GL account.

• Maintain a systematic accounting filing system.

• Prepare and review audit schedules as assigned, conducting audit research and addressing inquiries.

• Assist in the preparation of year-end tax schedules.

• Manage the intercompany reconciliation process.

• Support the month-end ancillary package and Hyperion trial balance uploads.

• Act as a backup for various roles within the Shared Service Department.

• Assist with ad hoc requests as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience with large ERP and Accounting Software is preferred (e.g., SAP, Oracle, INTACCT, Net Suite, Maconomy, etc.).

• Strong technical accounting abilities, including knowledge of GAAP, FASB, and SEC accounting and disclosure requirements, along with proficiency in researching accounting literature.

• Must be capable of reconciling accounts and performing GL analysis.

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.

• CPA (or equivalent) is preferred.

• Previous experience with consolidations and intercompany eliminations.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience managing an accounting team.

• Advanced Excel skills are required (e.g., vlookup, sumifs, sumif, pivot tables).

• 5-7 years of accounting experience.

• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, meet critical deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.

• Highly organized and motivated self-starter with strong interpersonal communication skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Located in Latam.

• Fluent in English.
