Accounting Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Oversee the daily operations of general ledger accounting functions.

• Collaborate and support AR, Billing, AP, and Finance teams with various inquiries.

• Review monthly close entries prepared by staff, including Prepaid, Fixed Assets, accruals, deferred rent, AMEX entries, and more.

• Supervise accounting personnel to ensure timely closing and adherence to reporting deadlines.

• Examine balance sheet account reconciliations and prepare analyses of general ledger accounts by reviewing transactions for accuracy.

• Maintain an organized accounting filing system.

• Prepare and review audit schedules as assigned, conducting audit research and responding to inquiries.

• Assist in the preparation of year-end tax schedules.

• Oversee the intercompany reconciliation process.

• Support the month-end ancillary package and Hyperion trial balance uploads.

• Act as a backup for various functions within the Shared Service Department.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience with large ERP and Accounting Software is preferred (SAP, Oracle, INTACCT, Net Suite, Maconomy, etc.).

• Strong technical accounting skills, including knowledge of GAAP, FASB, and SEC accounting and disclosure requirements, along with proficiency in researching accounting literature.

• Ability to reconcile accounts and perform general ledger analysis.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.

• CPA (or equivalent) is preferred.

• Previous experience with consolidations and a strong background in intercompany eliminations.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience managing an accounting team.

• Advanced Excel skills are required (vlookup, sumifs, sumif, pivot tables).

• 5-7 years of accounting experience.

• Capability to prioritize, multitask, meet critical deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.

• Highly organized and motivated self-starter with effective interpersonal communication skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Must be located in Latam.

• Fluent in English.
