Accounting Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Oversee the daily operations of general ledger accounting functions.

• Collaborate with AR, Billing, AP, and Finance to assist with various inquiries.

• Evaluate monthly closing entries prepared by staff, including Prepaid, Fixed Assets, accruals, deferred rent, and AMEX entries.

• Supervise accounting personnel to ensure deadlines for closing and reporting are met.

• Review balance sheet account reconciliations and prepare analyses of general ledger accounts by examining transactions to verify accuracy.

• Maintain a systematic accounting filing system.

• Prepare and review audit schedules as assigned, conduct audit research, and respond to inquiries.

• Assist in the preparation of year-end tax schedules.

• Manage the intercompany reconciliation process.

• Support the month-end ancillary package and Hyperion trial balance uploads.

• Serve as a backup for various functions within the Shared Service Department.

• Assist with ad hoc requests as needed.

• Contribute to the development efforts.

⛳️ Requirements

• Preferred experience with large ERP and Accounting Software such as SAP, Oracle, INTACCT, Net Suite, Maconomy, etc.

• Strong technical accounting expertise, including knowledge of GAAP, FASB, and SEC accounting and disclosure requirements, along with proficiency in researching accounting literature.

• Capability to reconcile accounts and perform general ledger analysis.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.

• CPA (or equivalent) is preferred.

• Previous experience with consolidations and substantial experience in intercompany eliminations.

• At least 2 years of experience managing an accounting team.

• Advanced Excel skills are essential (vlookup, sumifs, sumif, pivot tables).

• 5-7 years of accounting experience.

• Ability to prioritize, multitask, meet critical deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.

• Highly organized, motivated self-starter with strong interpersonal communication skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Must be located in Latam.

• Must have fluent English proficiency.
