Accounting Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Oversee the daily operations related to general ledger accounting functions.

• Collaborate and support Accounts Receivable, Billing, Accounts Payable, and Finance with various inquiries.

• Evaluate monthly close entries prepared by the team, including Prepaid, Fixed Assets, accruals, deferred rent, AMEX entries, etc.

• Supervise accounting personnel to guarantee timely closure and adherence to reporting deadlines.

• Review account reconciliations for the balance sheet and conduct general ledger account analyses by examining transactions to ensure the GL account's accuracy.

• Maintain an organized accounting filing system.

• Prepare and review audit schedules as assigned, conduct audit research, and respond to inquiries.

• Assist in the preparation of year-end tax schedules.

• Manage the intercompany reconciliation process.

• Support the month-end ancillary package and Hyperion trial balance uploads.

• Act as a backup for various functions within the Shared Service Department.

• Handle ad hoc requests as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience with large ERP and Accounting Software is preferred (SAP, Oracle, INTACCT, Net Suite, Maconomy, etc.).

• Strong technical accounting skills, including knowledge of GAAP, FASB, and SEC accounting and disclosure requirements, as well as proficiency in researching accounting literature.

• Ability to reconcile accounts and perform GL analysis effectively.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.

• CPA (or equivalent) is preferred.

• Previous experience with consolidations and a strong background in intercompany eliminations.

• At least 2 years of experience managing an accounting team.

• Advanced Excel skills are required (vlookup, sumifs, sumif, pivot tables).

• 5-7 years of accounting experience.

• Capability to set priorities, manage multiple tasks, meet critical deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.

• Highly organized and motivated self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication skills.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• Located in Latin America.

• Fluent in English.
