This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nevada.
• Lead, mentor, and cultivate a team of accounting professionals, encompassing performance evaluations, training, and team-building initiatives.
• Supervise the month-end closing process, ensuring precision and compliance with stringent deadlines.
• Direct and continuously improve HOA accounting procedures, promoting efficiency and operational effectiveness.
• Collaborate with peer managers to guarantee consistency and alignment throughout the department.
• Prepare and present financial reports and analyses to internal stakeholders, including Corporate Accounting and senior leadership.
• Assist with system conversions and ongoing general ledger (GL) functions.
• Engage in and lead special projects and initiatives as assigned.
• Coordinate and compile information for external HOA audits.
• Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Function with a high degree of autonomy while actively keeping leadership updated on key developments and risks.
• Influence financial operations and decision-making at both the property level (resort) and corporate level.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required; an MBA and/or CPA is preferred.
• Over 4 years of accounting experience, ideally within timeshare or property management accounting.
• More than 2 years of managerial experience, or equivalent internal experience within Travel + Leisure Co.
• Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Highly organized, capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Results-oriented with initiative and the capability to excel in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and train team members.
• Experience will be accepted as a substitute for educational requirements unless there is a legal stipulation.
