Accounting Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Prepares precise and timely financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

• Oversees the maintenance of the general ledger, bank reconciliations, payroll, as well as the closing processes at month-end and year-end.

• Ensures that financial records comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and relevant regulatory standards.

• Promotes best practices in the NetSuite ERP across all business areas; acts as a financial systems resource for Served with Honor.

• Supervises, trains, and mentors accounting personnel.

• Assists in budget preparation, cash management, and forecasting, while analyzing discrepancies between budgeted and actual costs.

• Aids in the preparation for audits.

• Collaborates with and generates reports for the CFO and senior management.

• Contributes to team objectives by completing related tasks as necessary.

• Engages with all organizational levels to address issues, enhance processes, and support staff education and training.

• Performs additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is essential; CPA is highly preferred.

• More than 5 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance.

• Strong expertise in GAAP and variance analysis.

• Required experience with NetSuite ERP systems.

• Proven ability to lead and manage accounting teams and cross-functional groups.

• Excellent analytical, financial modeling, and communication skills; advanced proficiency in Excel is required; familiarity with Power BI or similar reporting tools is an advantage.

• Demonstrated ability to effectively engage with all organizational levels.

• Experience in implementing and optimizing Accounting and Finance technology platforms.

• Outstanding communication, coaching, and relationship-building abilities.

• Capacity to think strategically while executing effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

• Proven track record of building, developing, and leading high-performing teams.
