This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Lead the financial operations encompassing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reporting, offering strategic oversight and review (without overseeing daily transactional processing).
• Supervise and direct the month-end closing process to guarantee timely and precise financial results, while assisting with annual audits and statutory reporting in international jurisdictions.
• Assess financial performance across global operations, providing leadership with actionable insights, strategic recommendations, and regular reports that identify risks and opportunities.
• Collaborate with local and regional stakeholders to synchronize financial strategies with business objectives, ensuring full compliance with local regulations and international accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS).
• Provide guidance on revenue recognition to ensure adherence to applicable standards and contribute to the development and enhancement of inter-company policies.
• Manage the preparation and prompt submission of BAS and IAS filings in Australia, working closely with internal bookkeepers and coordinating with external tax advisors to navigate FBT and other statutory obligations.
• Establish, implement, and uphold localized expense policies.
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Over 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in international or high-growth settings.
• Required experience in Australian accounting, with Irish/European experience being highly desirable.
• CPA License or CA is preferred.
• Experience in a public accounting firm or professional services environment is advantageous.
• Knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP) and their application to financial analysis.
• Strong proficiency in financial systems, particularly Xero (required) and Sage Intacct (highly desirable).
• Solid understanding of Australian and Irish tax and compliance obligations.
• Experience with revenue recognition and financial governance.
• Familiarity with inter-company transactions and transfer pricing principles.
• Ability to manage multiple time zones, deliverables, and regulatory deadlines.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across distributed and cross-functional teams.
• Self-driven and detail-oriented, with experience in remote-first work environments.
