Accounting Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the monthly closing process, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.

• Oversee the recognition of revenue for subscription services.

• Manage billing, collections, and overall financial operations.

• Act as the main point of contact for external accountants and tax preparation professionals.

• Assess, implement, and enhance the finance technology stack.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 6 years of progressive experience in accounting.

• Proficient understanding of the monthly closing process.

• Proven ability to automate or eliminate manual processes.

• A genuine interest in AI tools.

• Familiarity with standard SaaS finance software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage Intacct).

• Practical experience in recording deferred revenue and applying ASC 606.

• Strong skills in Excel and spreadsheet management.

• CPA certification or being on the CPA track is advantageous but not mandatory.
