Accounting Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Guide, mentor, and support the onboarding team and new employees.

• Facilitate training sessions, walkthroughs, and live coaching on U.S. bookkeeping standards and best practices.

• Strategically assign onboarding projects and bookkeeping responsibilities to foster employee growth.

• Review completed work prior to client submission to guarantee accuracy, consistency, and quality.

• Offer ongoing performance evaluations and coaching.

• Collaborate with leadership and recruiting teams to assess onboarding progress and readiness for production.

• Enhance onboarding documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training resources.

• Oversee the complete onboarding process for new bookkeeping clients.

• Ensure books are accurate and accounting systems are correctly set up before handing clients over to production.

• Coordinate client onboarding schedules, task assignments, and project finalization.

• Review reconciliations, financial statements, and relevant documentation.

• Lead bookkeeping cleanup initiatives, catch-up bookkeeping, accounting system implementations, and software migrations as necessary.

• Attend client onboarding meetings and deliver outstanding client service.

• Continuously refine onboarding processes to enhance efficiency, consistency, and scalability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in U.S. bookkeeping.

• Prior experience in leadership or managing people.

• In-depth knowledge of QuickBooks Online.

• Experience within a U.S. bookkeeping, accounting, or CPA firm.

• Strong grasp of month-end closing, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Highly organized with a keen eye for detail.

• Capable of managing multiple clients, projects, and deadlines concurrently.

• Strong analytical abilities and a commitment to continuous improvement.
