Accounting Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Assist with the order review and invoicing procedures in accordance with ASC 606 for subscription-based revenues.

• Collaborate with Sales and Client teams to guarantee precise and prompt billing.

• Take ownership of and enhance month-end and year-end closing processes.

• Prepare and assess journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.

• Aid in the preparation of financial statements.

• Supervise Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and collections activities.

• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger.

• Support the tracking and reporting of vital SaaS metrics, including MRR, ARR, churn, and NRR.

• Partner with Finance leadership to deliver insights that aid in decision-making.

• Ensure adherence to US GAAP standards.

• Assist with annual audit processes and external reporting obligations.

• Help with tax filings, including 1099s and sales tax.

• Identify opportunities to streamline and automate accounting processes.

• Contribute to scaling systems and processes to accommodate company growth.

• Work collaboratively across departments to ensure timely and accurate financial information.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Over 4 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in SaaS or a high-growth setting.

• Comprehensive knowledge of US GAAP, with experience in ASC 606 revenue recognition.

• Proficiency with accounting systems such as NetSuite and strong Excel capabilities.

• Ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining strong communication skills.

• CPA designation preferred but not mandatory.
