Accounting Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Prepare and assess income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

• Ensure that monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting is conducted accurately and on time.

• Perform variance analysis on general-ledger and departmental expenses, providing insights on performance.

• Lead the weekly accounting operations reporting for senior management, focusing on cash flow, working capital, and renewal operations.

• Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, order management, and general ledger functions.

• Oversee sales tax and VAT reconciliation for both US and European entities.

• Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes efficiently.

• Apply ASC 606 for revenue recognition concerning software subscriptions, licenses, and professional services.

• Develop and implement policies and procedures for internal controls.

• Coordinate with external auditors and manage the auditing process.

• Supervise, mentor, train, and assess accounting personnel.

• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of Sage Intacct, Ramp, and other financial systems.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and AI automation.

• Collaborate with senior management on strategic initiatives and key business decisions.

• Manage banking operations, employee expense reimbursements, and global payroll support.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

• At least 5 years of experience in accounting, including a minimum of 1 year in a supervisory position.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role within a software subscription company.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting, particularly revenue recognition.

• Preferred experience with Salesforce.

• Required experience with Netsuite, Intacct, or another ERP system.

• Proficiency in ASC 606 revenue recognition is required.

• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.

• Strong leadership and team management skills.

• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Capability to work under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines.

• CPA/CMA certification is preferred.

• Must be available full-time, Monday through Friday.
