Accounting Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Oversee bookkeeping for various client accounts

• Conduct monthly reconciliations and closing procedures

• Prepare and assess financial statements

• Maintain precise general ledger documentation

• Ensure high-quality deliverables for clients

• Provide tax support

• Prepare and evaluate business and individual tax returns

• Assist with tax planning and compliance efforts

• Research accounting and tax-related issues as necessary

• Support clients throughout the tax season

• Team leadership responsibilities

• Mentor and oversee junior accounting personnel

• Review colleagues' work for accuracy and thoroughness

• Enhance workflows, documentation, and quality assurance

• Contribute to the growth and scaling of the accounting team over time

• Act as the primary point of escalation for accounting inquiries

• Client service commitment

• Communicate effectively and professionally with clients

• Proactively address and resolve accounting challenges

• Manage timelines across multiple projects

• Deliver consistent and accurate work with minimal supervision

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–7+ years of experience in public accounting or client accounting

• Proficiency with Drake Tax and TaxDome is essential

• Familiarity with QuickBooks Online is a must

• Strong foundation in bookkeeping and accounting principles

• Experience in preparing business and/or individual tax returns

• Capability to manage multiple clients at once

• Exceptional attention to detail

• Strong organizational and time-management abilities

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Leadership experience

• Experience reviewing the work of fellow accountants or bookkeepers

• Comfortable training and mentoring junior staff members

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities

• Proven track record of taking ownership of projects and enhancing processes

• Qualifications

• CPA or CPA candidate preferred

• Experience in a U.S. CPA firm is advantageous

• Experience managing remote teams is a plus
