Accounting Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Oversee and direct the monthly and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and precise financial reporting of transactions.

• Responsible for managing the general ledger, preparing account reconciliations, crafting journal entries, and handling financial accruals.

• Assist with payroll accounting tasks, which include processing payroll entries, coordinating tax reporting, and managing benefit-related accruals.

• Supervise treasury operations such as bank reconciliations, positive pay, borrowing base reporting, and monitoring cash activities.

• Oversee accounts payable and receivable operations carried out by an outsourced service provider.

• Generate monthly bank borrowing base certificates along with other specialized financial reports for banks and boards.

• Aid in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and ad hoc financial reports, including weekly 13-week cash flow projections.

• Work collaboratively with operations and leadership teams to facilitate external audits by providing financial insights and supporting operational decision-making.

• Provide information and respond to inquiries as needed.

• Ensure adherence to accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.

• Identify and implement enhancements to processes that improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability within the accounting function.

• Execute additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in Accounts Receivable/Payable and/or General Accounting.

• Strong verbal, written, and English communication abilities.

• Willingness to work overnight or graveyard shifts according to Philippine time or within US operational hours.

• Proficient in a majority of Microsoft Office applications, databases, and accounting software.

• Comprehensive understanding of accounting regulations and procedures, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• Certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Previous experience in the manufacturing or distribution sectors is preferred.

• Required experience in managing month-end close and financial reporting processes.

• Preferred technical skills in financial modeling and complex accounting transactions.

• Experience with Microsoft Power BI or other reporting/dashboard tools is preferred.
