This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
• Manage activities related to the general ledger, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting.
• Ensure adherence to US GAAP and the company's accounting policies.
• Evaluate and enhance accounting processes for greater efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
• Conduct research and document accounting treatments for complex transactions.
• Establish and maintain comprehensive accounting policies and procedures.
• Lead annual financial statement audits while coordinating with external auditors.
• Strengthen and uphold the internal control environment.
• Design and implement scalable controls that support the company's growth objectives.
• Prepare audit schedules, documentation, and responses for management.
• Assist with financial reporting for private equity and support strategic growth initiatives.
• Develop scalable financial processes, reporting structures, and KPI frameworks.
• Provide assistance with reporting for boards, lenders, and investors.
• Support accounting due diligence and the integration of post-acquisition accounting.
• Standardize accounting policies, procedures, and reporting mechanisms for acquired entities.
• Coordinate purchase accounting and the integration of financial systems.
• Assess, implement, and optimize accounting and ERP systems.
• Lead initiatives in finance technology and automation.
• Utilize data and reporting tools to enhance visibility and facilitate informed decision-making.
• Mentor and develop members of the accounting team.
• Collaborate with finance, operations, HR, IT, and executive leadership.
• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• CPA designation is required.
• A minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience.
• At least 3 years in a leadership or management capacity.
• Proven experience in scaling accounting processes within rapidly growing companies.
• Demonstrated expertise in supporting mergers, acquisitions, and business integrations.
• Strong foundation in audit management and internal controls.
• Experience leading ERP implementations, financial system upgrades, or accounting automation projects.
• In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Expertise in general ledger and closing processes.
• Familiarity with ERP and financial management systems.
• Advanced capabilities in Excel and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in private equity-backed or high-growth organizations is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with business intelligence and reporting tools is preferred.
