This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the general ledger, including the preparation of journal entries and financial statements, as well as bank reconciliations and schedules for travel and company reimbursements.
• Conduct regular reviews and analyses of the balance sheet and income statement.
• Manage daily accounting operations, which encompass accounts payable, payroll processing, cash management, system maintenance, and financial reporting.
• Work in collaboration with management to provide timely and relevant reporting on financial data analytics, such as capital allocations, key financial metrics, and actual expenditures against budgets/outlook.
• Supervise cash forecasts, capital calls, distributions, and financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
• Address ad hoc compliance requests and other inquiries from investors, fund administrators, auditors, and other stakeholders.
• Identify, design, and execute process enhancements to optimize the integrity and efficiency of the month-end close process; utilize existing reporting platform capabilities whenever feasible.
• Support the investment team and investor relations team by providing financial data for investor presentations and ad hoc reporting.
• Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience; experience in Renewable Energy or carbon credits is preferred but not mandatory.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA designation is a plus.
• Proven technical accounting knowledge along with strong analytical skills.
• Familiarity with GAAP and a solid understanding of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
• Experience with month-end closing and budgeting/forecasting.
• High proficiency in Excel and accounting software systems; experience with BOLO is preferred but not essential.
• Required proficiency in financial reporting and analysis.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.
