This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +3 more states.
• Join a dedicated team responsible for managing multiple client engagements simultaneously, performing tasks such as Controller-to-go services, which entail maintaining the complete general ledger, journal entries, budgets, and providing client consulting.
• Engage in accounting software implementations, offer continuous support for accounting software, and assist clients in developing and maintaining their internal procedures and processes.
• Take charge of overseeing and reviewing the work of staff on related projects.
• Acquire a thorough understanding of client operations, processes, and business goals, and apply that knowledge during engagements.
• Supervise and review the professional team in the preparation of workpapers, financial statements (prepared on a GAAP basis – non-disclosure), and engagement correspondence.
• Cultivate and maintain strong working relationships with clients to enhance customer satisfaction, collaborating with client management and staff at all levels for outsourced accounting tasks.
• Lead team members to ensure timely completion of project components and assignment tasks.
• Perform Controller-level duties for clients on an ongoing basis.
• Stay updated on accounting software, trends, and technology to effectively train both internal teams and external clients.
• Create and communicate recommendations for business and process enhancements.
• Actively participate in meetings as a vital member of the outsourced accounting team.
• Assist principals and senior management with proposals and business development discussions.
• Supervise, train, and mentor seniors, staff, and interns in outsourced accounting, evaluating staff performance during engagement reviews.
• A minimum of a BA/BS degree in Accounting.
• At least 7 years of relevant experience.
• A solid grasp of accounting concepts and strong business acumen.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and prioritize competing demands in a dynamic, fast-paced, results-oriented team environment.
