Accounting Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of and manage essential accounting functions, including fixed assets, lease accounting, and payroll, with the adaptability to assume additional duties as the team's requirements evolve.

• Oversee the complete fixed asset accounting process, encompassing policy, reconciliations, and reporting, utilizing NetSuite and the Netgain Fixed Asset Module (FAM).

• Direct lease accounting efforts and ensure adherence to ASC 842 standards.

• Manage payroll accounting and collaborate with the People team on reconciliations and reporting through Rippling.

• Lead the month-end and year-end closing procedures, which include reviewing journal entries and account reconciliations.

• Guarantee SOX compliance in areas of responsibility; design, document, and supervise internal controls.

• Assist with external audit requests and engage with auditors as necessary.

• Propel continuous process enhancement and system optimization initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is required or strongly preferred.

• 6 to 9 years of progressive accounting experience, including a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.

• Extensive knowledge in fixed assets, lease accounting, and payroll.

• Proficiency in NetSuite or comparable accounting systems is mandatory.

• Familiarity with Netgain FAM and Rippling (or similar payroll platforms) is advantageous.

• Strong understanding of SOX compliance and internal controls.

• A background in Big 4 public accounting is highly desirable.

• Excellent communication skills, with the capability to present financial information to stakeholders outside of finance.
