Accounting Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Reconcile banking transactions and create journal entries in compliance with US GAAP using Xero.

• Lead the month-end closing process and pose follow-up inquiries to the Controller or client when necessary.

• Assist in the preparation of quarterly financial statements.

• Collaborate closely with your Controller to manage client relationships, as this role involves direct client interaction.

• Draft investor correspondence in the proprietary FundPanel system, which includes capital contribution notices, distribution notifications, quarterly reports, and capital account statements.

• Maintain investor data, investment details, and other fund metrics within the FundPanel system.

• Organize legal documents, such as formation papers, investment agreements, and other pertinent client information in Box.

• Prepare and gather documents for the annual audit and tax processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in audit, the alternative asset sector, or fund administration is required.

• Experience as an external auditor, along with a CPA certification or an MBA, is advantageous.

• Proven experience in a client-facing position supporting multiple clients.

• You are inherently resourceful, motivated, and possess strong problem-solving abilities.

• You recognize the importance of delivering exceptional customer service, being considerate, and understanding that details make a significant impact.

• Proficient in accounting software such as Xero and Quickbooks.

• Comfortable using software platforms including Gsuite, Microsoft Office, Box, and Slack.
