Accounting Internal Controls Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Accountable for the design, implementation, and upkeep of a premier internal controls framework.

• Act as the organization’s leading authority on Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR).

• Develop scalable, audit-ready processes that align with the stringent requirements of a swiftly expanding international enterprise, effectively bridging SEC/PCAOB standards, intricate financial regulations, and advanced blockchain technology.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of progressive accounting or auditing experience, with a minimum of 6–8 years dedicated to SOX program management.

• A valid CPA certification is required.

• Extensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP, the COSO framework, SEC regulations, and PCAOB standards, along with proficiency in evaluating ITGCs, automated application controls, and system implementations.

• Possess a "Kaizen" mindset; a self-driven professional with strong integrity, exceptional project management abilities, and a readiness to engage deeply in tasks to support the business.

• Capability to excel as a dynamic operator in a rapidly growing, independent environment, with a proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams.

• Experience in a high-growth fintech or cryptocurrency setting is preferred.

• While not mandatory, additional advantages if:

• You have experience in Big 4 public accounting.

• You have directly supported a company during its transition from private to public (IPO).

• You are familiar with Optro (formerly AuditBoard) or comparable internal control program management software.
