Accounting Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Facilitate the onboarding process for new clients onto the Oath platform, assisting them with setup, workflows, and initial interactions.

• Act as a reliable point of contact for clients regarding methodology inquiries and platform utilization.

• Aid clients in understanding AI-generated outputs and foster their confidence in the platform over time.

• Detect obstacles in the onboarding journey and provide feedback for product enhancements.

• Directly perform verification and audit processes, ensuring that engagements adhere to professional standards.

• Assess and confirm the accuracy and completeness of AI-generated audit procedures, workpapers, and documentation.

• Spot gaps, mistakes, inconsistencies, and edge cases in AI-generated audit results prior to client delivery.

• Monitor professional standards (GAAS, PCAOB, IAASB) and ensure that both your work and AI outputs remain aligned with them.

• Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to convert audit knowledge into AI precision, reliability, and audit-awareness — serving as a primary source of ground truth for the model.

• Create quality review frameworks, checklists, and methodologies specifically designed for AI-supported audits.

• Implement ongoing feedback mechanisms to enhance AI performance with each engagement.

• Document best practices and expand our internal knowledge base as the team grows.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–6 years of audit or related experience grounded in audit methodology.

• General understanding of the audit process or related functions such as IT audits and financial management.

• Experience applying this knowledge in non-traditional audit settings (industry, consulting, innovation roles, etc.).

• Strong analytical abilities and impeccable attention to detail — you notice what others overlook.

• Comfort with technology, AI tools, and dynamic, fast-paced workflows.

• Excellent written communication skills; you can articulate a judgment call so others can understand your reasoning.

• Strong client-facing capabilities — adept at onboarding clients, addressing inquiries, and building trust directly.
