
Accounting Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Accountable for the processing, oversight, maintenance, and reporting of corporate and project-related accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit and collections, expense report processing, project payments, and/or other relevant financial transactions.
• Collaborate with the Sr. Manager of Accounting, Manager of Procurement, and various Finance team members, as well as vendors, sponsors, regulatory bodies, and other departments to address inquiries and investigate discrepancies.
• Support Finance team members with transaction entry, system testing, and/or on-demand reporting as required.
• Create, review, and/or submit invoices, payments, purchase/standing orders, overdue notices, corporate expenses, and project pass-throughs and draws.
• Address payment and billing inquiries from staff, project teams, project sites, sponsors, and/or external vendors to resolve any discrepancies.
• Coordinate, monitor, and process payments for project sites and recoverable expenses.
• Respond to payment inquiries from sites, sponsors, and project teams.
• Candidates should possess a minimum of a one-to-two-year post-secondary certification in a relevant area of study, or at least one to three years of related work experience with ongoing training.
• An accounting specialization is preferred.
