Accounting Associate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Establish new vendor relationships by collaborating with Purchasing to configure new vendors and maintain vendor records.

• Manage vendor payments by reviewing and inputting vendor invoices into Sedona and preparing the check run.

• Handle year-end tax documentation by preparing the 1099 and 1096 forms.

• Process deposits by preparing lockbox and in-office bank deposits, managing ACH and credit card deposits in accounting software, posting payments to customer accounts, and addressing open credits and other unapplied cash.

• Manage billing for installations by reconciling jobs, billing projects, following up on outstanding questions, entering recurring charges in Sedona, accepting customer payments over the phone, investigating billing inquiries, and assisting with the dispatch of completion packets to clients while submitting AIA-compliant billing.

• Handle service billing by reviewing resolved service tickets; using professional judgment to validate hours, parts, and notes; entering recurring charges based on data changes in service tickets; and billing service tickets.

• Create journal entries by utilizing payroll reports, vendor invoices, and other data to generate and post general ledger journal entries.

• Perform reconciliations by conducting monthly reviews of general ledger accounts for accuracy, identifying discrepancies, and recommending corrections and solutions.

• Prepare monthly reports and scorecards by exporting data from accounting software to complete reports and researching automation suggestions for improved reporting.

• Undertake other assigned duties as necessary.


⛳️ Requirements

• An Associate's degree in Accounting is required.

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting is preferred.

• 1-3+ years of relevant experience is necessary.

• Proficiency in computer skills, particularly within the Microsoft Suite, is required.

• Experience in a customer service-related field is essential.

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills are a must.

• Ability to remain calm in challenging situations.

• Strong time management and prioritization skills.

• Clear, concise, and polite verbal communication abilities.

• Strong organizational capabilities.

• Good follow-up skills.

• Solid technical aptitude.

• Self-motivated and capable of working independently.

• Ability to collaborate effectively as a team player.

• Trustworthy with a capacity to handle confidential information appropriately.

• Punctual with a history of no unapproved absences.
