This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the product vision, long-term roadmap, and quarterly focus areas for fund accounting, waterfall and carry calculations, NAV production, fee calculations, investor reporting, and regulatory compliance (GAAP/IFRS/ILPA) for private credit vehicles.
• Lead strategic decisions regarding build/buy/partner approaches across proprietary platforms and vendor ecosystems (e.g., general ledger, portfolio accounting systems, data hubs), ensuring seamless integration, comprehensive data lineage, full auditability, and consolidation where suitable.
• Convert intricate regulatory and client requirements (such as fair value measurement, impairment analysis, consolidation, ILPA guidelines, and ESG reporting) into clear product specifications, well-prioritized backlog items, and detailed acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with Technology, Data, and Operations teams to create scalable, automated workflows for period close, valuations, allocations, and reconciliations that minimize cycle times and enhance straight-through processing (STP).
• Set and track product KPIs and operational controls, including close timeliness, error rates, rework percentages, SLA adherence, and audit findings; conduct regular product evaluations and spearhead continuous improvement initiatives.
• Oversee vendor governance and management, including RFPs, vendor scorecards, release management, and SLA monitoring; ensure effective change management, training initiatives, and comprehensive documentation for global teams.
• Advocate for data quality and analytics enablement by defining golden data sources, establishing key metrics, and facilitating dashboard capabilities that support faster management reporting and improved investor transparency.
• Function as a general manager-style product owner with clear accountability for outcomes, budget management, P&L awareness, and the ability to foster trust and credibility with senior stakeholders across the organization.
• Manage quarterly planning cycles and establish OKRs, aligning product roadmaps with business strategy, tracking progress against commitments, and communicating results to executive sponsors and leadership.
• Implement data-driven prioritization frameworks (ROI analysis, risk reduction, SLA impact, client NPS) and maintain transparent, well-organized product backlogs that reflect strategic priorities and operational realities.
• Promote controls-by-design, security, and operational resilience in every product decision, ensuring that risk management, compliance, and business continuity are integral to the product lifecycle.
• 10–15+ years of experience in fund accounting, product management, or operations within private credit or alternative investments.
• Extensive subject matter expertise in private credit fund administration, including NAV calculations, waterfall and carry mechanics, fee structures, fair value measurement, impairment accounting, GAAP/IFRS standards, and ILPA reporting requirements for credit funds.
• Practical experience with leading fund and portfolio accounting platforms (e.g., eFront, Geneva, Investran, Allvue, FIS, or similar systems).
• Proven history of making strategic build/buy/partner decisions, including leading vendor assessments, RFPs, commercial negotiations, contract management, and release governance across technology and data vendors.
• Demonstrated ability to foster a high-performing, action-oriented, and independent team to ensure the successful delivery of the product objectives of the Private Credit line of business at scale.
• Strong mindset towards data governance and controls, with a deep understanding of data lineage, reconciliation frameworks, audit readiness requirements, SOX compliance, and strategies for optimizing the close cycle.
• Proven capacity to effectively collaborate with Engineering, Data Science, and Operations teams to design and implement automation, straight-through processing (STP), and workflow enhancements; knowledgeable in agile methodologies, OKR frameworks, and disciplined backlog management.
• Strong executive presence and communication abilities, with experience presenting to senior leadership, driving accountability through KPIs (close timeliness, error rates, SLA adherence, audit findings), and leading cross-functional governance forums and steering committees.
