Accounting Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Prepare and evaluate financial statements, accounting records, and management reports for designated business units or companies.

• Ensure the accuracy of financial records and adherence to accounting standards as well as company policies.

• Conduct reconciliations of bank accounts and general ledgers, identifying discrepancies and suggesting corrective measures.

• Investigate accounting issues, analyze errors, and offer recommendations for resolution.

• Review, test, and confirm the accounting implications associated with system modifications and enhancements.

• Analyze balance sheets and operating results, including variance and deviation reporting.

• Assist business units, finance partners, and actuarial teams with financial and accounting-related inquiries.

• Aid in the preparation of state and regulatory submissions and related documentation.

• Create supporting schedules and documentation for both internal and external reporting requirements.

• Engage in special projects, process improvements, and other accounting initiatives as assigned.

• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting procedures, and documentation standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Advanced proficiency in **Microsoft Excel**.

• Experience with **SAP** or similar ERP systems is advantageous.

• Capability to work with large datasets, reconciliations, and financial reporting tools.

• Strong comprehension of accounting principles and financial reporting practices.

• Highly analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.

• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to investigate issues, identify root causes, and propose solutions.

• Strong organizational and time management abilities.

• Capability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Effective communication and collaboration skills.

• Familiarity with internal controls, reconciliations, and audit requirements.
