Accountant, Tax Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Oversee bookkeeping for both the company and its clients utilizing QuickBooks Desktop.

• Prepare and file individual and business tax returns in the U.S.

• Complete and submit state sales tax filings as required.

• Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger entries.

• Review accounting records to verify accuracy and completeness.

• Keep financial documentation well-organized for tax and audit purposes.

• Collaborate effectively with team members located in the United States.

• Ensure timely tax filings while upholding strict confidentiality of financial information.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience with QuickBooks Desktop in a professional accounting setting.

• Strong proficiency in ProSeries Desktop.

• Practical experience in preparing U.S. individual and corporate tax returns.

• Comprehensive understanding of U.S. federal and state tax laws.

• Experience in preparing and filing sales tax returns.

• Strong foundation in bookkeeping and accounting principles.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Access to reliable computer equipment and a stable high-speed internet connection.

• Ability to work autonomously, manage deadlines effectively, and be available during EST business hours.

• Previous remote experience supporting a U.S. accounting or tax practice is a plus.

• Familiarity with IRS Forms 1040, 1065, 1120, and 1120-S is advantageous.

• Experience in managing accounting for multiple clients or companies is a plus.

• Knowledge of payroll processing and year-end reporting requirements is beneficial.

• Experience handling confidential financial and tax information is a plus.
