Accountant, Tax Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Oversee the bookkeeping for both the company and clients utilizing QuickBooks Desktop.

• Prepare U.S. tax returns for individuals and businesses.

• Complete and file state sales tax submissions.

• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.

• Examine accounting records to ensure accuracy and completeness.

• Keep financial documents organized for tax and audit requirements.

• Collaborate effectively with team members located in the United States.

• Ensure timely tax filings while safeguarding the confidentiality of financial data.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience with QuickBooks Desktop in a professional accounting setting.

• Strong practical knowledge of ProSeries Desktop.

• Direct experience in preparing U.S. individual and corporate tax returns.

• Comprehensive understanding of U.S. federal and state tax laws.

• Experience in preparing and submitting sales tax returns.

• Solid foundation in bookkeeping and accounting principles.

• Effective written and spoken communication skills in English.

• Access to reliable computing equipment and a stable high-speed internet connection.

• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and be available during EST business hours.

• Previous experience in a remote role supporting a U.S. accounting or tax practice (preferred).

• Familiarity with IRS Forms 1040, 1065, 1120, and 1120-S (preferred).

• Experience managing accounting tasks for multiple clients or companies (preferred).

• Knowledge of payroll processing and year-end reporting obligations (preferred).

• Experience handling confidential financial and tax information (preferred).
