Accountant Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Ensure the accuracy of vendor master data and oversee the comprehensive vendor onboarding process.

• Address vendor inquiries, manage portals, and facilitate communications promptly and professionally.

• Supervise the complete accounts payable operations, which includes invoice processing and procure-to-pay workflows.

• Prepare and execute payment proposals, guaranteeing precision and timely processing.

• Handle foreign currency transactions and apply principles of foreign currency valuation.

• Conduct regular bank reconciliations and proactively resolve discrepancies.

• Maintain a strong emphasis on VAT compliance for entities in Europe and the UK.

• Support and manage the Yokoy and Zip credit card processes.

• Actively engage in and lead data-intensive, technology-driven accounting initiatives.

• Document processes and assist in training team members on updated systems and workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• 3-5 years of experience in a similar position, preferably within a SaaS or international setting with a focus on AP and VAT.

• Austrian Bilanzbuchhalter qualification (or a strong willingness to obtain it) is highly preferred.

• In-depth knowledge of per diem and reimbursement regulations across various countries.

• Practical experience with bookkeeping, including payroll and/or business expenses.

• Hands-on experience with AP, P2P, and business expense management tools such as Yokoy, Concur, or Expensify.

• Proficient in NetSuite and advanced Excel / Google Sheets.

• Strong grasp of VAT regulations and cross-border tax implications.
