Accountant, SMSF Experience Preferred

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pakistan.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with clients to gather necessary data, records, and documentation for accounting and compliance necessities.

• Accurately prepare financial statements and tax returns in compliance with Australian standards.

• Create and maintain detailed workpapers that support the financial statements and tax returns.

• Take responsibility for assigned tasks and ensure they are completed on time.

• Liaise with auditors and regulatory agencies as needed.

• Recognize actual or potential compliance issues and escalate them as required.

• Oversee pension compliance and reporting obligations.

• Assist in workflow management and maintain consistent communication with management on key issues.

• Ensure that all lodgement and reporting deadlines are adhered to.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 3 years of accounting experience, ideally within an outsourced or offshore service setting.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Previous experience in SMSF accounting is highly preferred.

• Ability to work autonomously, effectively prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

• Familiarity with the BGL accounting system is highly advantageous.
