This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hungary.
• Prepare and assess account reconciliations.
• Create and evaluate journal entries, ensuring adherence to local accounting standards and US GAAP.
• Facilitate the efficient preparation of assigned journal entries to enhance operational efficiency.
• Conduct periodic analyses of balance sheets.
• Collaborate with auditors to address inquiries related to control processes and account reconciliations.
• Oversee daily treasury operations, including cash positioning, liquidity planning, bank reconciliations, and maintaining optimal cash flow to meet business requirements.
• Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations, ensuring precision, timely resolution, and compliance with internal policies and accounting standards.
• Monitor and reconcile inventory balances, guaranteeing accurate valuation, timely adjustments, and adherence to accounting policies and internal controls.
• Supervise the Fixed Asset register and Finance Master Data to ensure appropriate capitalization, accurate depreciation, high-quality data maintenance, and compliance with internal policies and accounting standards.
• Contribute to the preparation of statutory financial reports in accordance with local GAAP standards (monthly, quarterly, and annually).
• Assist in the preparation and filing of monthly VAT returns, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and comply with relevant tax regulations.
• Oversee the Month-End Closing (MEC) process, ensuring accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in accounting or finance (or a high school diploma/GED or equivalent with relevant experience in an accounting or finance role).
• Strong analytical capabilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word).
• Strong focus on process improvement.
• Familiarity with Oracle Applications Release 12 / SAP and later versions.
