This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist with ongoing financial accounting tasks, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and fixed asset accounting.
• Conduct thorough reviews, coding, and posting of both incoming and outgoing invoices.
• Manage intercompany reconciliations and settlements among entities.
• Oversee the administration of payment transactions.
• Provide active support for the upcoming annual financial statements under HGB, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports.
• Maintain and implement monthly reporting processes, along with BWA commentary.
• Analyze budget versus actual variances to derive actionable business measures.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, reports, and liquidity overviews for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate with tax advisors, auditors, and tax authorities.
• Collaborate with the finance team across multiple entities, managing approximately 150,000 postings annually.
• Strong professional experience in accounting, encompassing accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions.
• Preferably experience in a multi-entity environment or in a role with substantial individual responsibility.
• Proficient in detailed invoice review and account coding.
• Comprehensive understanding of HGB financial statements.
• Ideally, prior involvement in the preparation of annual financial statements.
• Strong controlling skills: the ability to derive KPIs, forecasts, and business measures from financial data.
• Required proficiency with DATEV.
• Advanced skills in Excel.
• Quick learner, highly independent, and attentive to detail.
• Fluency in both German and English, written and spoken.
• Plus: Initial experience with BI tools and development of reporting structures.
• Plus: Background in hospitality, real estate, or a multi-entity setup.
• Plus: Interest in automation and process optimization, including API integrations and posting automation.
