Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete client billing processes, ensuring precision, punctuality, and adherence to contractual obligations.

• Conduct billing reconciliations and funding settlements, addressing discrepancies in collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Assist with accounts receivable functions, including invoicing, cash application, and follow-up on collections.

• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to resolve billing issues and disputes in a professional and efficient manner.

• Aid in the development and implementation of new processes and workflows to support an evolving finance function.

• Maintain precise financial records in compliance with GAAP and company policies.

• Prepare and evaluate account reconciliations, identify variances, and suggest corrective measures.

• Participate in process enhancement initiatives aimed at improving the efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of accounting operations.

• Work cross-functionally with finance, operations, and client-facing teams to ensure data integrity and alignment.

• Provide audit support by supplying necessary documentation and explanations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• 3–5+ years of pertinent accounting experience, preferably in billing, accounts receivable, or financial operations.

• A solid understanding of GAAP and principles of financial reporting.

• Experience in insurance, billing operations, or accounting settings.

• Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data, spot discrepancies, and resolve issues effectively.

• Experience in supporting process development or continuous improvement initiatives in dynamic environments.

• Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.

• Strong attention to detail, organization, and precision.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients and internal teams.

• Ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive, solution-oriented approach.

• Familiarity with banking, treasury, or cash management functions is advantageous.
