Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Bulgaria.

📋 Description

• Enter transactions into SAP

• Close and reconcile accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, bank, and intercompany sub-ledgers

• Record and reconcile payroll across multiple countries

• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes

• Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations and aid in variance analysis preparation

• Ensure compliance of the portfolio with local statutory requirements, including VAT returns, statutory financial documents, corporate income tax returns, and other necessary filings

• Carry out analysis and contribute to additional projects as needed

• Provide assistance in statutory closing and financial statement preparation

• Report directly to the Manager of Accounting and Controls

• Collaborate within the Accounting team

⛳️ Requirements

• Accounting experience post-qualification

• Availability to work within the EMEA timezone

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline

• Experience with core finance systems; proficiency in SAP or similar systems is an advantage

• Understanding of GAAP principles and compliance

• Skills in financial analysis

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities

• Effective time management skills and the capability to meet continuous deadlines

• Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

• Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

• Fluent in written and spoken English

• Strong skills in automation and familiarity with AI technologies

• Experience in remote work is a plus, though not mandatory
