Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the monthly closing process for both entities, which includes reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and the preparation of accurate financial statements.

• Manage the entire Accounts Receivable process: from invoicing and collections to maintaining control over aging accounts.

• Handle Accounts Payable duties, execute payment cycles, and address vendor inquiries.

• Coordinate payroll via Deel, ensuring timely and accurate disbursements in both jurisdictions.

• Maintain an organized and up-to-date QuickBooks system, including chart of accounts management and transaction classification.

• Oversee expense management in Ramp, ensuring receipts are collected, coded, and compliant with policy.

• Generate monthly management reports and perform variance analysis against the budget.

• Assist in the budgeting and re-forecasting process by providing reliable actuals and clear inputs.

• Prepare schedules and workpapers for external tax advisors and auditors.

• Aid in statutory and compliance filings in both the US and UK.

• Undertake ad hoc financial analyses and projects as they arise, including system enhancements, pricing or cost analysis, and audit preparation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of an active CPA license.

• Experience with QuickBooks Online, preferably in a multi-entity or multi-currency setting.

• At least 5 years of experience in an accounting position with full responsibility for closing processes and reconciliations.

• Proficient and confident in managing collections.

• Ability to function effectively without predefined processes and to develop procedures where needed.

• Strong written communication skills to interact with non-financial colleagues.

• Familiarity with AI tools for daily tasks is advantageous.
