Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Prepare, analyze, and record journal entries while completing various month-end close tasks, including balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis, to ensure timely and accurate financial statement preparation in compliance with US GAAP.

• Provide support for accounting activities related to cash, prepaids, accruals, and general accounting functions.

• Manage accounting functions concerning fixed assets and Construction in Progress (CIP) on a global scale.

• Assist in gathering supporting documentation and variance explanations for external audit purposes.

• Identify opportunities for improvement within business processes and propose solutions to enhance operational efficiency.

• Support a variety of ad-hoc projects across the accounting and finance teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required; CPA or CPA candidate is preferred but not mandatory.

• 2-4+ years of general accounting experience, preferably in Retail, Wholesale, or Consumer Goods sectors.

• High level of intellectual curiosity and integrity.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

• Proactive mindset; capable of independently identifying and resolving issues.

• Proficient in Excel and possess relevant experience.
