Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Overseeing the daily financial operations of the Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)

• Ensuring precise financial reporting, adherence to regulations, and robust financial practices

• Preparing and upholding accurate financial documentation, journal entries, and reconciliations for the general ledger

• Handling accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently

• Conducting monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities

• Compiling financial statements, reports, and variance analyses for management review

• Assisting in budgeting, forecasting, and managing cash flow effectively

• Reconciling bank accounts along with other balance sheet accounts

• Overseeing payroll-related accounting entries and reconciling payroll expenses

• Ensuring compliance with GAAP, Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement guidelines, and relevant federal and state regulations

• Aiding internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and addressing audit inquiries

• Supporting cost reporting and financial data requirements for Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement

• Maintaining records for fixed assets and depreciation schedules

• Identifying areas for enhancing accounting processes and internal controls

• Collaborating with facility leadership and department managers on financial issues

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an Accounting role

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

• Experience within the US Healthcare sector is crucial

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are mandatory

• Strong understanding of accounting regulations and procedures, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

• Advanced proficiency in accounting software; experience with Sage Intacct is preferred, though training will be provided

• Advanced skills in MS Excel, including the use of VLOOKUPS and PivotTables

• Keen attention to detail and outstanding analytical abilities
