This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Managing accounts payable invoices, which includes verifying the accuracy of invoices, allocating expenses to the appropriate general ledger accounts, and facilitating payments.
• Ensuring that accounting transactions are conducted promptly, accurately, and in alignment with company policies.
• Reconciling vendor statements and addressing any discrepancies related to invoices or payments.
• Recording cash receipts, following up on customer billing, and tracking accounts receivable as necessary.
• Preparing and processing monthly customer invoices in accordance with contract stipulations and company protocols.
• Handling employee expense reports by reviewing receipts, confirming adherence to company policy, and ensuring correct coding.
• Creating journal entries as part of the monthly closing procedures.
• Assisting with payroll processing, which includes reviewing timesheets, preparing payroll, and supporting payroll-related reconciliations.
• Aiding in general ledger account reconciliations.
• Supporting activities related to month-end and year-end closings.
• Maintaining precise accounting records and accompanying documentation.
• Contributing to special projects and other accounting responsibilities as assigned.
• A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related area is preferred.
• At least 4-6 years of accounting experience, ideally in a corporate accounting setting.
• Experience in accounts payable, invoicing, expense reports, journal entries, and payroll support is preferred.
• Strong grasp of general accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including basic formulas, sorting, filtering, and reconciliations.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage confidential payroll, employee, vendor, and financial information.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to research and resolve discrepancies.
• Experience with accounting or ERP systems; Deltek Costpoint experience is advantageous.
