Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Prepare and evaluate financial statements, such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

• Identify trends, variances, opportunities for cost savings, and potential revenue growth.

• Ensure the accuracy of financial records by documenting transactions, reconciling accounts, and posting journal entries to the general ledger.

• Assist in the creation and management of budgets while providing financial projections and forecasts.

• Prepare and submit tax returns in accordance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.

• Engage in or lead internal and external audits.

• Offer financial insights and recommendations to management.

• Manage cash flow and enhance the company's cash position.

• Monitor and control expenses to identify opportunities for improved cost efficiency and profitability.

• Execute ad hoc accounting tasks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• 1–3 years of experience in Accounts Receivable/Payable and/or General Accounting.

• Strong verbal, written, and English communication abilities.

• Willingness to work overnight/graveyard shifts in Philippine time or during US business hours.

• Proficient in most Microsoft Office applications, databases, and accounting software.

• Strong command of Excel, including pivot tables and advanced formulas.

• Comprehensive understanding of accounting regulations and procedures, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Capability to meet tight deadlines.

• Exceptional attention to detail and analytical abilities.

• Effective communication skills coupled with a problem-solving mindset.

• CPA or CMA certification is advantageous but not mandatory.
