Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.

📋 Description

• Ensures the accuracy of the general ledger by applying generally accepted accounting principles to all financial transactions.

• Completes reconciliations for balance sheet accounts and bank accounts by the specified deadlines.

• Reviews the structure of cost centers and charts of accounts.

• Prepares, verifies, and manages the entry of journal entries into the general ledger.

• Aids in the coordination of monthly closings and the production of financial statements to ensure timely reporting.

• Prepares schedules for audits and addresses auditor inquiries during financial audits, SOX audits, or any other type of audit.

• Monitors and tracks cash outflows, providing necessary updates to management.

• Engages with field personnel and delivers exceptional customer service by explaining and addressing queries related to monthly operational activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university is required, with a preferred major in Accounting.

• Between zero to three years of relevant experience and/or training.

• Utilizes limited independent judgment to make decisions based on established guidelines and precedents.

• Possesses a working knowledge of a skill or discipline that necessitates basic analytical ability.

• Capable of lifting up to 25 pounds.

• Requires interaction with coworkers, residents, or vendors.
