Account Representative – Commercial Insurance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Packages and markets applications to different carriers to secure quotes;

• May negotiate pricing, commissions, and/or coverage options with carriers;

• Reviews policies, identifies shortcomings, and determines the suitable level of coverage;

• Oversees the renewal process for policies that are about to expire;

• Reviews client accounting records, addresses accounting inquiries, and rectifies account discrepancies, including aiding in the collection of overdue accounts;

• Binds insurance coverage and prepares insurance binders;

• Assists in crafting presentations and/or proposals for clients;

• Collects information for applications;

• Investigates requests for information from underwriters;

• Drafts correspondence to insured clients and/or underwriters;

• Inputs applications and generates letters and other forms of correspondence;

• Prepares draft certificate templates for review and approval;

• Analyzes certificate requests to ensure client needs are fulfilled;

• Adheres to agency management system data standards and maintains data integrity (enters and keeps complete and accurate information);

• Performs other assigned duties.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience

• 2 - 4 years of relevant work experience

• Valid insurance license and completion of one insurance class required

• Must continue to fulfill Continuing Education requirements for license renewal

• Encouraged to complete Career Path requirements as outlined by supervisor
