This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland, +1 more state.
• Implementing the regional strategy within your area of influence to enhance BASF's market share and brand visibility.
• Collaborating with the Strategic Account team to secure key sector shops.
• Allocating time to engage with our Distribution partners to connect with both existing and potential customers.
• Developing a Distributor Action Plan with each Distributor to synchronize your objectives with theirs, aiming to meet or exceed the set goals for the year; this should be reviewed together monthly to evaluate progress.
• Seeking new business opportunities and visiting current accounts when not engaged with one of your Distributors.
• Documenting all phone communications and sales interactions in our CRM, SFDC.
• Coordinating and communicating with the Business Development Manager to ensure strong retention of premier shops, as well as with the Technical Representative(s) to guarantee product demonstrations at target shops and the delivery of robust technical service to maintain existing accounts.
• Cultivating relationships and providing training to our distribution partners to sustainably increase BASF's market share.
• Leveraging our CRM and digital solutions to pinpoint opportunities in our market as well as within shops that will foster long-term growth.
• Submitting expense reports biweekly.
• A Bachelor's Degree (preferred) or a High School diploma (GED) along with professional experience in Sales and/or Marketing.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the automotive industry or a related sales field, which will aid in establishing trust and value in our dynamic industry.
• Significant automotive refinish experience (preferred).
• The capability to execute the business strategy and drive sales growth in local markets by identifying customer and market needs within the assigned market responsibility.
• Strong relationship-building skills to manage existing connections and forge new ones.
• Excellent interpersonal skills that will enable you to boost sales growth by developing market potential through forecasting, lead generation, qualification, closing sales, and recommending new products and services.
