Account Manager – Ocean Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Managing the import/export brokerage and freight forwarding requirements of customers

• Supervising all operational and account management responsibilities throughout the engagement lifecycle

• Exhibit critical thinking and make essential decisions on behalf of customers during the shipment process

• Oversee the loading, departure, transit, arrival, and final delivery of shipments to identify any issues

• Resolve unexpected events by utilizing past experience and knowledge of regulations

• Act as the primary contact for assigned customers to guarantee timely service

• Prepare and file documentation for U.S. Customs and other governmental agencies

• Provide rate quotes in collaboration with the internal quoting department

• Ensure billing is accurate and processed on time

• Maintain and assist in developing company policies related to pricing and service delivery

⛳️ Requirements

• CES or CCS certification preferred; LCB designation is advantageous

• High school diploma or GED is mandatory

• A college degree is beneficial

• 3-5 years of experience in the industry is required

• Language Skills: Strong written and verbal communication abilities

• Technical Experience: Knowledge of international logistics across all modes and an understanding of the customs process

• Office Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and ten-key skills

• Mathematical Skills: Capability to apply concepts such as percentages, ratios, and proportions to real-world scenarios

• Specific Skills: Must hold a current valid driver’s license
