This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +8 more states.
• Formulate and implement an employer sales strategy focused on the U.S. to secure internship placements and connect students with those opportunities.
• Establish and execute sales strategies, management tools, and processes to achieve ambitious sales targets.
• Develop a strong pipeline of employer partnerships by engaging directly with decision-makers and key influencers within target organizations.
• Utilize tools (such as Salesforce, Bookings, etc.) to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and accountability.
• Examine industry trends, opportunities, and competitors to cultivate and uphold a comprehensive understanding of the market landscape.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to create collateral, pitch materials, and market positioning necessary for impactful employer discussions.
• Tailor sales strategies and tactics according to local market conditions.
• When suitable, propose and cultivate strategic partnerships that will enhance the team's efforts.
• Oversee employer partnerships to guarantee maximum customer satisfaction.
• Refine and adapt value propositions for employers to fit various industries and markets as needed.
• Lead the onboarding process for new employer partners.
• Proactively manage relationships to foster partnership growth year over year.
• Facilitate the recruitment process with host employers.
• Act as the primary contact for host management requirements.
• Communicate and advocate for employers’ interests to ensure successful placements and experiences for both students/young professionals and the employers.
• Manage expectations with host employers to ensure adherence to the U.S. Department of State’s BridgeUSA (J-1 Visa) program.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales.
• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Proven ability to establish and sustain impactful relationships and successfully close sales.
• A robust network of relationships with employers across diverse sectors (for-profit, non-profit, government).
• Strong knowledge of Salesforce and other CRM tools to facilitate sales and ongoing account management.
• Proficient in representing CIEE in public forums with industry partners (e.g., conferences, meetings with senior executives, government officials, foundations, etc.).
• Excellent administrative and organizational abilities, capable of effectively coordinating a wide range of activities.
• Must demonstrate professionalism both internally and externally to CIEE, along with a commitment to the company's values and objectives.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills adaptable to various audiences, including participants, faculty, Board members, employees, and industry partners.
• Skilled at navigating and resolving a broad spectrum of issues while serving as an exemplary ambassador for CIEE and its mission and programs.
• Ability to thrive within a complex institutional environment, demonstrate high tolerance for ambiguity and adaptability, and respond promptly and appropriately to evolving circumstances.
